Purpose of Role

• To “own” the delivery of deliver of a large scale, strategic programme of approx 1 year to 18 months duration

• The Programme Manager will set out the Programme Structure & be responsible for ensuring that companies governance standards are followed .

• Their key objective is to engage & understand the mandate & align resources to ensure project deliveries are met within agreed timescales

• Ensure that assigned projects are delivered in accordance with agreed quality, time scales, budgets, policies and architectures

• Coach, support, instruct , intervene as appropriate to ensure that Project Managers / Scrum Masters achieve required outcomes

• Keep stakeholders informed of project progress by providing regular updates and contributing to relevant project and release governance forums

• Ensures a financial plan & budget control is in place & controlled.

• Complete Business Case within required standards & engage appropriate stakeholders & Business Partners

• Support the ongoing transition within Data & Analytics team What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?

• Strong leadership skills, with experience of leading large complex projects • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation, with the ability to build strong relationships , in order to operate and influence at a senior level

• Ability to translate business issues / challenges into effective programme solutions

• Ability to lead teams of diverse individuals and work across boundaries • Experienced in providing accurate estimates and project plans

• Tangible evidence of managing complex IT projects both in traditional & Agile methods.

• Desirable : experience delivering Data & Data Warehouse Projects

• Desirable : Experience of ETL and data integration projects

• Consistent track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and of a good quality. • Experienced using MS Project, Jira, Planview .

• Educated to Degree standard or suitable experience demonstrating delivery capability • Prince 2 & MSP qualified or similar

• Agile capable • Dynamic: able to grasp complex Project Deliverables with minimum hand holding • Comfortable & effective managing multiple initiatives
